Dr. Uday Kiran, Founder of Bharosa Neuro Psychiatry Hospital, was honoured to meet the Hon'ble Governor of Telangana at Raj Bhavan for a meaningful discussion on the growing importance of mental health awareness, addiction recovery, and accessible healthcare services.
During the interaction, Dr. Uday Kiran shared his ongoing efforts in addressing mental health challenges and substance addiction through evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation, counselling, and long-term recovery support programmes. Over the past year, his team has supported more than 2,000 patients on their journey towards recovery, wellness, and a healthier future.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the launch of the book “100 Stories of Healing” — a collection of inspiring patient recovery journeys and transformational experiences. The book reflects Dr. Uday Kiran's commitment to restoring lives, rebuilding families, and creating hope for individuals facing mental health and addiction-related challenges.
Mental illness and addiction are medical conditions — not moral failings. The more openly we talk about them, the more people feel able to seek the help they deserve.
The occasion served as an opportunity to discuss strengthening mental-healthcare infrastructure, increasing awareness about addiction disorders, reducing the stigma that prevents many from seeking care, and encouraging individuals to reach out for professional help when they need it.
Dr. Uday Kiran expresses his sincere gratitude to Dr. Muggalapalli Utkendra Gupta, Member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), for his valuable support in facilitating this memorable and meaningful interaction.
As the founder of a dedicated mental health and de-addiction centre in Telangana, Dr. Uday Kiran remains committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and comprehensive care for individuals and families seeking recovery and healing. You can read more about Dr. Uday Kiran or book a consultation.
